The Ukrainian Cross-Duathlon Championships took place on October 25–26, bringing together the nation’s strongest off-road multisport athletes. Among the starters were Anton Blokhin of Kyiv, last year’s silver medallist, and Sofiya Pryyma of Lviv — Ukraine’s current leader in the World Cross-Triathlon Rankings.

From the opening kilometers, Blokhin and Viktor Lazanyuk (Odesa) broke away from the field after a blistering first run. On the bike, Blokhin seized control, opening a decisive gap and holding firm on the final run to take the national title. Lazanyuk fought hard to secure silver, while Rostyslav Mishchenko from Zhovti Vody completed the podium with a strong all-round performance.

Pryyma Untouchable Among the Women

In the women’s race, there was simply no stopping Sofiya Pryyma. The Lviv athlete dominated every leg of the course — from the first stride to the final sprint — claiming a commanding victory.
Kateryna Kyrylovych of Zhytomyr finished runner-up, while Margarita Fedorova (Odesa) rounded out the podium.

The Youth Divisions

Zhytomyr’s young triathletes showed their class in the Youth “A” category, sweeping the podium.
Winners: Kateryna Kyrylovych and Nikita Danyuk.
Podium finishers: Sofiya Husarevych and Nikita Danchenko.

In the Youth “B” category, victories went to Oleksandra Boronina (Zhytomyr) and Artem Petrovskyi (Odesa).
The podium featured Arina Hryban (Zhytomyr), Sofiya Tereshchenko (Kamianske), Vladyslav Ohurtsov (Zaporizhzhia), and Nazar Lysak (Zhytomyr).
Boronina was in a class of her own — fastest across all three segments — while Petrovskyi capitalized on a powerful bike leg to overtake Ohurtsov, who clocked the best running splits of the day.
