Ukraine’s triathletes wrapped up the 2025 World Triathlon season with another determined showing — and a climb up the world rankings — in San Pedro de la Paz, Chile.

Just a week after racing in Viña del Mar, Vitalii Vorontsov, Daryna Moskalenko, and sisters Yeva and Dana Soroka headed south to the next World Cup stop, where the course sits dramatically between the great Bío Bío River and the Pacific Ocean.

Vorontsov pushes through the chase pack

Vorontsov came out of the water among the chasers of the lead group and held firm through the technical bike leg. On the run, the Ukrainian found another gear, clawing back positions to finish 50th overall — earning another 10 points toward the World Triathlon Ranking.
It capped a long season in which Vorontsov took fourth at the Asian Cup Lianyungang, placed 14th at the Supertri E World Championship, and lined up at the European Championship in Melilla and World Cups in Liévin, Chengdu, Viña del Mar, and now San Pedro de la Paz.

Moskalenko makes her mark

In the women’s race, a leading group of four opened an early gap, while a powerful pack of 14 chased — including Daryna Moskalenko.
She reached T2 in that group of contenders and ran strongly to the line, finishing 15th and collecting 168 ranking points. The result lifted her to 131st in the world standings and sealed her season ranked 321st overall. Moskalenko also earned points earlier in the year at the European Cup Olsztyn and in both Chilean World Cup events.

Soroka sisters round out the season

Yeva Soroka crossed 35th and Dana 42nd to close their seasons. Yeva’s points came from San Pedro de la Paz and Liévin, while Dana added to her tally from Liévin and Viña del Mar.

The Ukrainian squad leaves Chile with more experience, more ranking points, and momentum to build upon for 2026.
