A One-Day Battle of Speed and Strategy
On July 12, Chișinău hosted a jam-packed day of racing at the Junior European Cup — with both the super sprint and the mixed relay taking place in a single high-intensity session.
In the men’s race, Fedir Bezlepkin crossed the line in 12th, leading the Ukrainian team’s charge. Joining him in the top 20 were Arsen Adamov, Matvii Malysh, and Zakhar Tsivkovskyi — all earning valuable ranking points toward the European junior standings.
Among the women, Maria Ivashchenko placed 11th overall, scoring crucial points as well. We now await the official update of the rankings — but Ukraine’s presence in the top tiers is already secure.
Also crossing the finish line was Dmytro Kasyanenko, competing in just his second international event. A year after debuting in Izvorani, he shaved a full minute off his super sprint result — a clear sign of upward trajectory.
Meanwhile, five Ukrainian athletes made their international debut in Chișinău: Viktor Berezovskyi, Amina Marchenko, Kateryna Kyrylovych, Oleksandra Boronina, and Leia Bezlepka — each adding depth to the nation’s promising next-gen roster.

Double Relay Lineup Delivers
Just hours later, the mixed relay was underway — with Ukraine fielding not one, but two full teams.
Team One featured top finishers from the individual event: Maria Ivashchenko, Arsen Adamov, Amina Marchenko, and Fedir Bezlepkin.
Team Two was composed of 3rd and 4th finishers: Kateryna Kyrylovych, Zakhar Tsivkovskyi, Oleksandra Boronina, and Matvii Malysh.
Both teams delivered almost identical finish times, with Team One edging ahead to claim 5th overall — a strong placement in a stacked field.
Notably, Leia Bezlepka was selected to race for Team Europe, further proving her rising status among continental talents.

Nations Ranking: Points Loading…
The National Federation ranking — based on the top three scoring junior men and women, plus relay performance — is expected to be updated shortly.
Currently, Fedir Bezlepkin, Zakhar Tsivkovskyi, Eva and Dana Soroka represent Ukraine’s scoring core. With four Ukrainian men and three women earning points in Chișinău, the country is poised for a healthy boost in the standings — aided by the 5th place relay finish.
