On August 30–31, Istanbul — the city bridging two continents — hosted a spectacular double feature: the European and Asian Triathlon Championships over the standard distance.

Ukraine’s elite hopes rested on Yeva Soroka, while amateurs Roman and Tetiana Korol carried the blue and yellow among age-group competitors. For Soroka, who has been racing internationally since 2021, this was a career milestone — her debut among the elites at a continental championship. With previous experience at European junior and youth events, as well as the World Championships, she lined up with bib 51 and crossed the finish line in 43rd place.

In the age-group races, athletes from both continents were ranked in a combined classification. Tetiana Korol placed seventh in the women’s 30–34 sprint, while Roman Korol matched that result with seventh in the men’s 35–39 sprint.
