Alisa Kolpakchy Claims European Para Triathlon Silver for Ukraine

Ukraine delivered another strong performance on the international para triathlon stage as its athletes competed across four sport classes at the European Para Triathlon Championships, collecting valuable World Triathlon ranking points and celebrating a continental medal.
In the PTS2 category, Ivan Artiukh recorded the first major ranking result of his international career. The Ukrainian crossed the finish line in sixth place, earning 338 World Triathlon ranking points and making his debut in the world rankings at 21st overall. It was Artiukh’s second international appearance of the season following the World Para Triathlon Series event in Samarkand.

Valerii Perekhrest also enjoyed a breakthrough performance in the PTS3 class. Finishing seventh, the Ukrainian collected 313 ranking points and moved into the top ten of the World Triathlon rankings for the first time in his career.
The highlight of the championships for Ukraine came in the women’s PTS5 category, where Alisa Kolpakchy delivered a podium performance to secure the silver medal.

Kolpakchy’s runner-up finish earned her 462 World Ranking points, increasing her career total to 1,328 points. The result keeps the Ukrainian among the world’s elite para triathletes as she currently holds fourth place in the global rankings in her classification.
Another top-ten result came from Vita Oleksiuk, competing alongside guide Nataliia Matsupko. Oleksiuk finished sixth and added 338 World Ranking points to her tally. Following the European Championships, she now sits 14th in the world rankings.
