Samarkand silver: Vita Oleksiuk leads Ukraine onto the podium

The Ukrainian team continues to strengthen its position in the global paratriathlon scene, with the World Triathlon Para Cup in Samarkand marking the first major international appearance of the season for a strong Ukrainian squad.

In the PTS2 category, Ivan Artiukh made his international debut, becoming the first Ukrainian athlete to compete in this class.

In PTS3, Valerii Perekhrest delivered a solid and consistent performance, finishing 8th. He earned 260 World Ranking points and maintained his position at 11th in the world rankings.

In PTS4, Ukraine placed two athletes inside the top 10:

  • Yaroslav Begas finished 6th, scoring 304 points and making his debut in the World Ranking at 42nd place
  • Pavlo Tovstyk secured 7th place, also debuting internationally and entering the rankings at 44th (281 point

The standout performance for Ukraine came in the PTVI women’s category.
Vita Oleksiuk, guided by Nataliia Matsupko, claimed the silver medal, earning 416 World Ranking points and moving up to 13th place globally.
