From October 25–26, the Turkish city of Alanya hosted three major international triathlon events — the World Triathlon Para Cup, and the European Cups for both elite and junior athletes, marking the final weekend of the 2025 competitive season.

Team Ukraine shone on the world stage once again — claiming silver and bronze medals, while two athletes made their international debuts in paratriathlon.
In the PTS3, Valerii Perekhrest led the swim among the top athletes, entered the second transition in third, and fought fiercely on the run to finish fourth overall — adding 356 ranking points to his world total.
Across the 2025 season, Perekhrest’s results include 7th at the European Championships, a World Cup victory in Tata, and now a climb to 11th in the World Ranking.
Debutants Yaroslav Behas and Pavlo Tovstyk competed in the highly contested PTS4 class. Pavlo exited the water in sixth, while Yaroslav was ninth. Both maintained consistent positions through the bike and run legs, finishing 9th and 11th, respectively — a strong debut against world-class opposition.
In the PTS5 women’s class, Alisa Kolpakchy delivered another masterful performance. Exiting the water in fourth, she surged to second on the bike and held her position through the run, finishing behind only world bronze medallist Lauren Steadman (GBR). Kolpakchi secured silver, adding 416 ranking points and moving up to 7th in the world ranking. Her 2025 season includes European silver and a World Cup win in Tata.
In the PTVI category, visually impaired athlete Vita Oleksiuk and her guide Nataliia Matsupko led the swim and were second after the bike segment. In a thrilling final run, the Ukrainian pair fought for victory but were narrowly overtaken by a fast-finishing French duo. Oleksiuk took bronze and earned 385 ranking points, moving up one spot to 14th globally.

At the European Triathlon Cup in Alanya, Sofiia Bondarenko made her long-awaited elite debut, marking another milestone in her steady rise through the sport. Just a year ago, Bondarenko was competing as a junior — where she made a significant contribution to Ukraine’s position in the Junior National Federations, earning valuable world ranking points in three separate starts.
The race in Alanya became Bondarenko’s 26th career start, a testament to her consistency and resilience as she transitions into the elite field.
It was also a first international appearance for Yehor Fokov, who stepped onto the European circuit determined and focused — a new name to watch in the next generation of Ukrainian triathletes.
At the European Junior Cup, Ukraine’s rising stars made a decisive push upward in the Nations Ranking.
Dana Soroka finished 6th, while among men Illia Honcharuk, Arsen Adamov, and Markiian Harmatii all placed in the top 20, with team leader Zakhar Tsivkovskyi close behind in 21st.
Soroka and Tsivkovskyi now lead the Ukrainian junior standings for the 2025 season.
In total, Fedir Bezlepkin, Matvii Malysh, Stanislav Krylov, and Hlib Yakubets finished in the top 30, while Yehor Korniienko was 32nd. Both Stanislav and Yehor made their international debuts, while Yeva Soroka started strong before withdrawing on the bike.
Ukraine’s points tally in theJunior National Federations is built on the results of its top three junior men and women — Dana and Yeva Soroka, Mariia Ivashchenko, and Zakhar Tsivkovskyi, Arsen Adamov, and Matvii Malysh — along with mixed relay results from the European Youth Championships and events in Chișinău and Izvorani.
Ukraine closes the 2025 season ranked 17th among all national federations, with 2384 points — a notable rise reflecting the team’s growing international presence.
Among individual juniors, the top-ranked Ukrainians now include Fedir Bezlepkin, Illia Honcharuk, Markiyan Harmatii, and Amina Marchenko.

Next stop — the World Triathlon Cup in Chile, where Ukraine will be represented by Vitalii Vorontsov, Daryna Moskalenko, Yeva Soroka, and Dana Soroka.
With medals in paratriathlon and a strong showing from the junior squad, Ukraine closes its 2025 season on a high note — determined, competitive, and ready for the next chapter on the world triathlon stage.
