On May 24, the city of Olsztyn, Poland hosted the Europe Triathlon Cup, featuring both elite and junior athletes. Team Ukraine fielded a strong squad across both divisions. Fresh off the European Aquathlon Championships, Darina Moskalenko and Fedir Bezlepkin were joined by Ivan Shevchenko, Zakhar Tsivkovskyi, Illia Honcharuk, Markiyan Harmatii, Arsen Adamov, Hlib Yakubets, Matvii Malysh, and Dana Soroka — a full representation across both men’s and women’s fields.
The junior events opened the program. Dana Soroka placed 27th among junior women, while Zakhar Tsivkovskyi and Hlib Yakubets finished inside the men’s top 50. Fellow teammates Bezlepkin, Harmatii, Adamov, and Malysh also completed the race. Following the junior races, Ukraine now ranks 16th among 27 nations in the Europe Triathlon Federation standings for junior performance.

In the elite women’s race, national champion Darina Moskalenko exited the water with a 36-second deficit to the leaders. She rode strongly in the chase pack and finished with a 37th-place run — her first world ranking points of the 2024 season. With this performance, Moskalenko climbs into the top 400 of the World Triathlon Rankings.
Meanwhile, Ivan Shevchenko — who last raced internationally at the 2024 European Championships in Balıkesir, Turkey — made his season debut in Olsztyn.
Next up for Team Ukraine: the Europe Triathlon Cup in Kielce, Poland on June 1. This event will be contested in a semifinal/final format, with Vitalii Vorontsov leading the Ukrainian charge.
