From 17 to 19 July, Kyiv became the focal point of Ukrainian triathlon as the capital hosted the Ukrainian Super-Sprint Triathlon Championships and the Ukrainian Aquathlon Cup. Elite, U23 and junior athletes, as well as boys and girls across several age groups, competed for national honours, with the team champions also crowned.

In the women’s overall standings, Sofiia Bondarenko of Poltava Region claimed the Ukrainian title with a commanding performance, completing the course in 25:12. Amina Marchenko of Cherkasy Region secured silver in 25:37, while Marharyta Menshykova of Donetsk Region took bronze in 25:49.

Ivan Shevchenko of Donetsk Region won the men’s race, crossing the line in 22:19. Illia Honcharuk of Zhytomyr Region finished second in 22:38, while Valentyn Mariievskyi of Zaporizhzhia Region completed the podium in 22:45. Junior athlete Zakhar Tsivkovskyi missed out on the medals by just seven seconds, finishing fourth overall.

Sofiia Bondarenko and Vladyslav Mykytenko were crowned Ukrainian U23 champions. Daria Berezhna and Yarema Babish earned silver, while Sofiia Parasotchenko and Maksym Nesvat secured the bronze medals.

Among the junior men, Illia Honcharuk claimed the national title ahead of Zakhar Tsivkovskyi and Matvii Malysh. In the junior women’s race, Mariia Ivashchenko took victory, Daria Chernysheva finished second, and Tetiana Raieva completed the podium.

Amina Marchenko and Artem Momot emerged victorious in Age Group A, while Dariia Zadera and Yaroslav Yunusov topped Age Group B. Yelyzaveta Sytnyk and Lea Bezlepkina completed the girls’ podium in Age Group A, with Daniil Uminskyi and Rostyslav Syheiev taking the remaining podium places among the boys. In Age Group B, Yaroslava Hulii and Polina Taran earned silver and bronze among the girls, while Rostyslav Mykytenko and Ostap Cheipesh completed the boys’ podium.

The Ukrainian Aquathlon Cup for the youngest athletes was held alongside the championship. Krystyna Yevlash and Oleksandr Semenko won the Age Group C races, Marharyta Sviatokum and Dominik Panteleiev took victory in Age Group D, while Vlada Kolesnyk and Yakiv Dondov were crowned winners in the youngest Age Group E category.

Donetsk Region won the team classification through the combined performances of Ivan Shevchenko, Zakhar Tsivkovskyi and Marharyta Menshykova. Zaporizhzhia Region finished second with Valentyn Mariievskyi, Serhii Kostenko and Olesia Marchenko, while Cherkasy Region claimed bronze through Maksym Nesvat, Maksym Usanin and Amina Marchenko.
