On June 15, the Europe Triathlon Cup over the sprint distance took place in Wels, Austria. Among the juniors, Ukraine was represented by Fedir Bezlepkin — the silver medalist of the European Aquathlon Championships.

Out of 69 registered athletes, the race was intense and highly competitive. After the first segment of the competition, the athletes split into six separate groups, with a time gap of 1 minute and 40 seconds between the front and back. Fedir exited the water 29 seconds behind the leader and continued the race in the chase group. He completed the run segment in 17 minutes and 35 seconds and crossed the finish line in 43rd place, earning 17 points towards the junior ranking. Fedir’s next race will be the Aquathlon World Championships in Pontevedra.

Following the Wels competition, Ukraine holds the 16th position in the national federation ranking, sharing the spot with Norway. Individual contributions to the overall score were made by Eva and Dana Soroka, Zakhar Tsivkovskyi, and Fedir Bezlepkin. In total, athletes from 27 European nations have earned points to date.
